Ways to Waste Your Time Trying to Become a Believer

Based on the New Testament, becoming a believer does NOT involve:

• Joining a religion
• Becoming religious
• Going to church
• Being a good person
• Having Christian parents
• Having Christian friends
• Starting a self-improvement plan
• "Pulling yourself up by the bootstraps"
• Turning yourself around
• Trying to do something
• Trying to be something

Important Obviously a believer can go to church, do good things, have believing friends, etc., but these things do not cause that person to become a believer (have eternal life).
